THE FUNCTION

Our automatic miniature fire extinguisher AMFE effectively protects your devices, machines and systems in industry, trade, trade and in the household against fire. It detects and extinguishes the fire in a closed housing and thus prevents it from spreading without the need of human intervention.

During a fire scenario, the heat creates a higher pressure on the ampoule. When the predetermined trigger temperature is reached, the ampoule bursts, activating a patented mechanism that pumps the extinguishing fluid out of the cylinder. The extinguishing fluid leaves the cylinder through holes in the AMFE body and reaches the fire at an early stage. The damage can be limited. Thanks to the quick and effective course of the extinguishing process, the fire is prevented from spreading further.

Not uncommon: a fire in an electrical device.

Solution: The AMFE reliably extinguishes the fire.

Technical Specifications

The required amount of extinguishing fluid must be calculated taking into account the guidelines relevant to your application (e.g. NFPA 12, NFPA 2001, VdS 2093, EN 15004).

IN 4 STEPS TO ALL-ROUND PROTECTION

STEP 1: AMFE INSTALLATION

By installing the AMFE, you are protected by a patented trigger mechanism. According to the thermodynamic principle, the thermo bulb triggers the AMFE at a predetermined trigger temperature. Without any additional wiring or external power supply!

In step 2, the AMFE can be expanded to include the optional multialert®.

STEP 2: multialert® INSTALLATION

The multialert® offers you the following benefits:

Simultaneous triggering of several AMFEs
Forwarding to higher-level systems, such as fire alarm control panels
Audiovisual signaling via warning horn and RGB rotating beacon
Shutdown of fans and main protectors
External triggering of the AMFE via various systems and detection options, see steps 3 + 4

STEP 3: CONNECTING ADDITIONAL FIRE DETECTORS

Selection and installation of the desired fire detection systems, e.g .:

Camera systems
Smoke alarms, CO alarms, gas alarms, etc.
Temperature measurements
The only requirement: a potential-free switching output

STEP 4: ACTIVATION AND EXTINGUISHING

Triggering and deletion by:

the installed detection types
the AMFE itself
external extinguishing signal from higher-level BMZ, etc.

Signaling by:

Audiovisual signals - warning tone and flashing light
Forwarding of signals to higher-level BMZ, fire brigade
